Before and after school a wide range of tours and activities awaits you: adventure, recreation, nature or sports - there is something for every taste. We organize regular excursions and even created a fitness programm exclusevely for our students as a physical balance to their classes.

HALF DAY TOURS

Most of the following activities can be done in the afternoon after your classes, otherwise on weekend mornings. Get together with your classmates - it's twice as much fun in a group!

Jaguar rescue center

Sanctuary for injured and orphaned wild animals, where they are taken in, healed and ideally released back into the jungle. Here you will have the opportunity to see all kind of native animals up close and learn about their characteristics and threats.

Chocolate tour

The Caribbean coast of Costa Rica is a traditional cacao growing region that has now been largely displaced by banana plantations. Nevertheless, cocoa is still firmly anchored in the culture of the locals. Visit one of the cacao farms, listen to the history and follow the production process from bean to chocolate. You can be sure that you will learn a lot and get plenty of chocolate to taste!

Indigenous territory

Puerto Viejo means more than only Caribbean beaches! Just a few kilometers inland in the mountains live different indigenous tribes, with their own languages, religions, cultures and costums. There are tours from a few hours to several days, where you have the opportunity to get an insight into this very different world.

Horseback riding

What could be more beautiful than discovering the Caribbean on the back of a horse?
There are tours both in the jungle and on the beach. If the sea is calm enough, you can even go swimming with the horses.

Ara Project

After the disappearance of the green macaw, which was once located in the Caribbean, an organization was formed with the mission of reintroducing this species to the region. You will have the opportunity to visit this project, learn about their development and successes, and observe the majestic birds in the wild and yet at close range.

Surf lessons

FULL DAY TOURS

Use your days off from school to explore and enjoy more of the beauties of Costa Rica. There are different day trips available.

WEEKENDS TOURS

If you take a Spanish course for several weeks, you don't have to stay in Puerto Viejo on weekends, but can make excursions to more distant destinations. Whether for one or two nights, we will be happy to arrange your individual program with transportation, accommodation and activities.

FITNESS

Come and participate in all our activities that are made for you to fully enjoy your stay with us. Here you will have opportunities to apply your knowledge of Spanish and learn some new ones. They are made and created for you to learn Spanish by living and experiencing. Some of them take place in the early morning, others in the afternoon.
